Product Manager, Merchants

Breadcrumbs

Description

Before we dive into the role, let’s talk about flexibility. Our Zipsters can choose where and when they work by taking full advantage of our hybrid-work environment. So whether you’re mostly remote, mostly in the office or a mix of the two, you’ll be empowered to do whatever brings out your best.

About us

We are Zip, a global Buy Now, Pay Later company providing fair and seamless solutions that simplify how millions of people pay. Our journey began in Australia, has taken us to 14 countries (so far) - and we’re just getting started.

We exist to create a world where people can live fearlessly today, knowing they’re in control of tomorrow. Focused on product innovation that puts people at the centre, we put the financial well-being of our customers and merchant partners at the heart of everything that we do.

The role

As Product Manager, Merchants you will own our product portfolio for merchants - building, launching and continuously improving the digital products that enable our merchant partners to get the most from Zip - both online and instore.

Reporting to the Director of Product, Customer & Merchant Engagement, you will work closely within a highly skilled cross-functional squad of engineers and designers to deliver valuable digital tools and features to our partners, and drive acquisition and engagement metrics.

You’ll also engage frequently with executive and commercial leadership to understand the business strategy and customer pain points, translate into a product vision and roadmap, and bring it to life alongside your team.

We need an expert problem-solver who understands how retailers think, and who can help us deliver solutions merchants love. This is an opportunity to reimagine our merchant experience, and create and deliver solutions that our partners love - all at Zip speed!

To help us level up, you’ll need to bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in tech and digital product management roles
  • Experience in, knowledge of, and passion for the merchant problem space - this could be gained working in ecommerce, for a major retailer with online presence, a tech or platform business that serves merchant needs, or even running your own small business!
  • A data-driven and analytical approach to making decisions, and great prioritisation skills
  • Solid knowledge of agile, strong drive and a structured and result-oriented way of working
  • Ability to conduct experiments using the latest techniques to test, learn and improve the customer experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, plus the drive, determination and resilience to quickly work through ambiguity to an outcome
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to move with a sense of urgency, sensitivity to give people space to offer suggestions
  • Confidence in your own abilities, yet humble enough to admit when you’re wrong
  • A love of autonomy as well as close team-working
  • Our values in your DNA: Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together and Change the Game
We’re proud to be a values-led business. They guide us in everything we do - how we work together and create game-changing experiences for our customers and fellow Zipsters.

If you only meet some of the requirements for this role, that's okay. We value a diverse range of backgrounds and ideas and believe this is fundamental for our future success. So, if you have the curiosity to learn and the willingness to teach what you know, we'd love to hear from you.

We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive workplace that provides equal opportunities to all persons regardless of their age, cultural background, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, veteran status, or anything else.
