About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Manager, Group Accounting to report to the General Manager, Finance.  

In this role, you'll lead Group Financial Control to produce Group Management Reporting, support the regional finance teams and underlying financial control policies and procedures.

You will also bring your passion for continual improvement to evolve Zip’s internal Finance procedures.

What you'll own:

  • The accounting for Zip’s Share Based Payments including the Employee Share Trust
  •  Transfer Pricing Allocation of group costs to regions 
  • Driving the continuous uplift of processes and controls in our core markets, including understanding of complex systems and big data
  •  Management of the external audit to ensure tight timelines are adhered to
  • Work with other Finance Leads, such as Tax & Financial Reporting to ensure group reporting reflect the required accounting approach and required supporting documentation is in place 
  •  Leading the Zip Finance University program
  •  Oversight of the Intercompany reconciliation and confirmation process
  • Support the General Manager, Finance in areas of special projects, ad hoc duties, and other financial obligations as required

Group Reporting:

  • Production of Group Financial Management Reports for the Executives and Board
  • Own reporting timetable and delivery to it 
  • Review of each country month-end accounts, ensuring all variances to Budget and Monthly trends are explained
  • Produce Group Board KPI reporting 
  • Group balance sheet analytical review

What you'll bring

  • Qualified CPA/CA
  • Prior experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge
  • Knowledge of IFRS and AASB
  • Intermediate to Advanced level Excel skills
