Join Zip’s Technology function, responsible for building and maintaining seamless, secure and sustainable platforms that enable customers to shop with confidence and merchant partners to grow their brands.

With a broad remit for products ranging from Card lifecycle management and Open Banking to integration with New Payment Platform and Payment Gateways, our Payments squad works with the very latest tech to solve complex, interesting challenges at scale. 

As part of this team, you’ll learn and grow through experimentation, enhancing existing features and building new ones, with the backing of a tight-knit team. 

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

  • Build reliable and scalable Zip payment processing platforms for customers purchases through multiple channels: online checkout, in-store, digital wallet (i.e. Tap to Pay), single use cards, online subscriptions.
  • Integration with payment gateways to collect Customer repayments.
  • Work cross functionally to integrate with broader Zip services such as Fraud, Accounts, Core Product.

  • Must have technical expertise in Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgeSQL.
  • Exposure to working with modern, event driven architecture. 
  • Experience with Agile Development, Design Patterns, TDD
