When you join Zip’s Credit Risk Data team, you will be putting your name to a variety of business-critical initiatives attached to our ANZ strategy, including uplifting our credit risk management, fraud control and credit decisioning capabilities.
With a broad remit across credit risk strategy and decisioning, forecasting, portfolio analytics and controls monitoring, our Risk Management & Data Science team is a key strategic interface between the business and a varied range of both internal and external stakeholders.
Working with world-class platforms and given the freedom to experiment and uplift your analytical and modelling capabilities, you’ll be a part of a flat structure and a close-knit team responsible for improving the commercials related to arrears and repayments.
Interesting problems you’ll get to solve
- Leading the design, implementation, monitoring and management of Collection strategies to mitigate credit losses by testing and assigning appropriate treatments to delinquent accounts
- Drive continuous improvement in collection strategy effectiveness with focus on incremental profitability (i.e. losses avoided less cost to collect including incentives).
- Ensuring all credit risks associated with collections are understood and quantified with effective reporting, across all components of collections (People, Data, Process, Technology, Strategy, Control Quality and External Collectors)

- Proven experience working as a risk/ data analyst, ideally working across unsecured lending products
- Ability to influence decision makers with data, proactive approach to drive results and improvements across credit risk.
- Solid SQL skills
- Exposure to solving problems in the collections space is highly regarded
- Experience delivering data visualisation dashboards across business critical insights (we use Tableau).
- Experience using DBT would be great but not an absolute requirement as we will help you learn!
- Team player, enthusiasm for learning new tech and jumping into a diverse range of projects
