The role

As the Director, People & Culture, and a member of our Global P&C leadership team, you will work closely with our ANZ MD, extended leadership teams and people leaders across the business to coach, navigate and help them lead our Zipsters to their fullest potential and at optimal effectiveness. Being a leader as part of a world-class P&C function, you’ll partner as a trusted advisor with senior and executive leaders to support them in developing high performing teams, being their expert advisor on a variety of complex employee matters along the way. 

You’ll be a champion of our culture and values and enjoy developing, launching and embedding workplace and employee programs to support all Zipsters to deliver on their potential and to our ambitious business goals.

You’ll be an experienced professional who can think strategically, but at the same time be comfortable hustling, being hands on and getting things done. As well as leading a team you will own and support people programs that enable Zip to continuously improve as an organisation and as a business, across DEI, leadership, learning & development, reward & recognition and talent development amongst others. 

We’ll need you to bring great relationship management and influencing skills, a passion for learning, solving problems and sharing your knowledge, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with the resilience to deliver outcomes in a rapidly changing environment. 

To help us level up, you’ll need to to:

  • Build, expand and execute a world-class ANZ people strategy with the broader people team to attract, retain and develop our talent
  • Lead, develop and roll out people programs including our compensation, benefits, leadership and levelling across our org (including partnering with our global COE's)
  • Coach leaders on how to design, build, develop and lead high performing teams, including goal-setting, performance management, people development and total rewards
  • Ability to influence and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders domestically and internationally
  • Work closely with your key stakeholders and the Talent Acquisition function to shape team org design and optimal hiring decisions
  • Identify opportunities to improve ways of work with a focus on how to better leverage data and feedback to level up how we scale processes globally
  • Delivery against people team goals/OKRs/financials
  • Ensure all cyclical & BAU people processes are delivered as planned (eg performance, remuneration, incentive, learning etc) 
  • Employee engagement & retention outcomes
  • Leadership & HiPo talent capability development

To help us level up, you’ll need to bring:

  • 10 + years experience supporting leaders as a senior people partner or function lead
  • Strong experience across the whole employee lifecycle from onboarding, performance management, leadership development, organisation design and development, talent management, remuneration & benefits and employment relations
  • An inspiring people leader with the ability to solve problems and communicate ideas in a structured and engaging way
  • Ability to influence and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Track record of leveraging data and insights to continually improve programs of work
  • Comfort working as part of a high performing team where we move fast and constantly challenge the status quo and how things have been done before
  • Experience working in a high growth tech / product / ASX listed company (preferred but not essential), ideally having seen the 500 - 1,000 person growth phase
