This role sits within the Receivables Management team, reporting directly to the Collections Manager.

The Collections Administrator is responsible for supporting the Collections and Financial Hardship Teams by managing inbound tickets/enquiries from third parties (eg. mercantile agents, trustees), customers in arrears and/or in hardship, and other internal departments.  This role offers a broad learning experience across the entire collections function through this varied range of enquiries.

What you'll own and support:

  • Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and client-centric culture 
  • Managing internal ticket enquiries
  • Assessment and end-to-end financial hardship assistance 
  • Responding to inbound collections queries
  • Payment allocations/Daily banking
  • Processing daily reports & reconciliation
  • Managing & liaising with third party relationships
  • Management reporting
  • Assessing and processing lock release requests
  • Assisting customers with payment plans
  • Providing customers with solutions to their queries; educating them to prevent future arrears 
  • Assisting and supporting Collections Team as required

What you'll need to succeed:

  • AR experience (3+ years) highly regarded
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills. 
  • The ability to effectively prioritise, manage deadlines and understand new ideas and concepts quickly. 
  • Outcome focused.
  • Highly organised and detail-orientated with focus on time management.
  • Ability to understand business needs, consistently meet expectations and respond promptly and professionally to business requests or inquiries, seeking guidance as appropriate.
  • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, decision making and collaborative skills.
  • Office experience preferable 
  • Exposure to automation projects desirable
