Refunding via Zip
When a refund is processed via Zip, the customer’s payment plan will be amended and any relevant refund will be processed straight back onto their card.
For merchants – the refund will be reflected on their next remittance advice from Zip.

Shopify
On Shopify Admin
– When you click into an Order that has been paid via Zip, you will be able to see a Refund button
– When you click on ‘Refund’, it will bring up a page for you to choose which item is refunded
– Once you’ve confirmed the refund amount, click Refund and you should see a confirmation message at the bottom of the page
WooCommerce
On WordPress Admin
- When you click into an Order that has been paid via Zip, you will be able to see a Refund button
- When you click on ‘Refund’, it will bring up a window for you to choose which item to refund
- Once you’ve confirmed the refund item and quantity, click Refund via Zip and click OK, the refund will show up against the order
Magento
On Magento Admin
- When you click into an Invoice (within an Order) that has been paid via Zip, you will be able to see a Credit Memo button
- When you click on ‘Credit Memo’, it will bring up the following page for you to choose which item(s) to refund
- Once you’ve confirmed the refund item and quantity, click Refund and it should redirect you back to the Order page
Others – via Merchant Portal
On the Merchant Portal
- When you log onto the Merchant Portal, you’ll be able to search for the Order which you’d like to refund
- When you click on ‘View Order’, you’ll be able to see the ‘Refund’ button on the page
- Once you’ve confirmed the amount that needs to be refunded, along with a Reference note, click on ‘Make Refund’
