Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Zip
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Our vision and goals
At Zip, we are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, and accelerating our ambitions to create a global workforce that increasingly reflects our communities.
We know diversity is more than gender, but it's a good place to start.
We've set targets for our leadership teams, as well as our total workforce, to have:
- Women
- 40%
- Men
- 40%
- Any gender
- 20%
Celebrating diversity
We celebrate the many different facets of our Zipsters' unique identities and encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work. Throughout the year, we celebrate a broad range of cultures and religions, as well as events such as Mardi Gras and Pride.
We also seek to support inclusion in our communities. In 2021, we launched a partnership with The Pinnacle Foundation, a not-for-profit empowering LGBTQI+ youth to overcome challenges they've faced as a result of their identity.
Women in Tech
In 2021, we launched a partnership with Women Who Code, a global not-for-profit dedicated to inspiring women technologists and tech leaders, and to be a force for change.
We are committed to increasing strong representation of women in tech, at every level of our business, and we recognise a great deal of work needs to be done in the broader tech sector, and in education. If you can see it, you can be it.
We're committed to ensuring every hiring and people experience:
- is free of discrimination and disadvantage
- mitigates for inherent behavioural and systemic bias.
We monitor our progress, learn from our people and try new things so we can build a truly diverse team, where every Zipster can develop a sense of inclusion, find success in the moment, and take control of their career and future.
