• Zip will be available as the new buy now, pay later option for Australia’s leading online travel agency Webjet from 29 June 2023.
  • Both Zip Pay (no interest ever) and Zip Money (12 months interest free) will be available to use on all eligible Webjet purchases.

Leading Australian buy now, pay later company Zip is pleased to announce its partnership with Australia’s #1 online travel agency Webjet. The partnership will give Webjet customers access to more flexible ways to pay for domestic and international flights, accommodation, and more to thousands of destinations worldwide.

Zip Pay is now available to use on Webjet for smaller travel purchases of up to $1,000 interest free, and Zip Money is available for bigger purchases up to $10,000 with 12 months interest free.

The announcement comes as demand for travel continues to skyrocket, with 83% of Australians planning to travel this year according to Zip’s Travel-Elation Report for 2023. Households will spend an average of $3,145 on their holidays and almost a third (32%) were planning on low-key travel, with local regional trips the preferred way to take a break in 2023, followed by domestic travel (28%).

Recent data also shows airfares globally are rising at more than twice the rate of inflation, defying broader economic headwinds. According to aviation company Cirium, average ticket prices on more than 600 of the world’s most popular routes rose at an annual rate of 27.4% in February, the fifteenth consecutive month of double-digit growth.
