Zip becomes first Australian card issuer to launch latest Google Wallet experience on iOS

    Wednesday, 13 August 2025

Zip Pay and Zip Plus customers in Australia will now have access to their Zip Visa Card in even more places

Zip Co (ASX: ZIP), the digital financial services company offering innovative, people-centred products, has collaborated with Google to become the first Australian card issuer to bring the benefits of Google Wallet to iOS, and among the early adopters globally to launch the latest Google Wallet experience across both iOS and Android.

In one seamless step, Zip Pay and Zip Plus customers can now access their Zip Visa Card across the entire Google ecosystem in one click - Chrome Autofill, Google Pay Online, and Google services - making it even easier to spend anywhere Visa is accepted, globally and in-store.

The move comes as more Australians are embracing the ease and security of digital wallets, with nearly 40%* of all card transactions in Australia being made with a digital wallet.

The new feature enables a customer’s Zip Visa Card on both Android and iOS systems. With no extra steps in the existing card provisioning flow, their Zip Visa Card will also be added to all their compatible devices for use across Google.

iOS customers will see a brand new “Add to Google Wallet” button and with just a couple of taps, their Zip Visa Card will be added across their Google account.

“We are proud to have been invited by Google to be a pilot partner of this new feature and the first Australian card issuer to go live with the iOS experience,” said Lauren McCormack, Zip Chief Product Officer, ANZ. “This rollout reflects our commitment to making everyday payments faster, easier and more accessible for all of our customers, and unlocking financial potential together. With the rise of smart payments, our goal is to support our customers with flexible payment options.”

Naomi Gaskell, Manager, Payments, at Google Australia added: "Making everyday payments just got easier for Aussies with the launch of a simple way to add Zip cards to Google Wallet. We’re thrilled that Zip customers will be among the first to experience the added convenience and flexibility when using their Zip cards online in Google Chrome or other Google services.”

Zip integrates with Xero Invoicing via Stripe for streamlined payments and improved cash flow

    Thursday, 24 July 2025

Small businesses in Australia using Xero can now offer Zip's flexible payment options via Stripe.

Zip Co (ASX: ZIP), the digital financial services company offering innovative, people-centred products, today announced a new integration in Australia through Stripe with Xero, the global small business platform.

With half of all payments for small businesses arriving late1, Zip’s payment options through Stripe can help small business owners get paid more efficiently and take greater control of their cash flow management.

The integration allows businesses using Xero and Stripe to offer their customers the flexibility to split invoice payments through Zip's payment options, while still receiving the full payment amount upfront, minus any fees.

“This integration means small businesses in Australia on the Xero platform, with a Stripe account, can now add Zip’s flexible payment solutions directly on their invoices, providing customers with greater payment flexibility and helping businesses to reduce payment friction and support cash flow management,” said Soraya Alali, Zip ANZ CEO. “We’re excited to bring this capability to Xero customers through Stripe’s payment infrastructure.”

Bharathi Ramavarjula, Senior Vice President of Payments at Xero said,“We know from our research that consumers expect choice when it comes to making payments. So the more payment methods we can offer with Stripe, such as Zip, the more likely it is that our customers will get paid up to twice as fast, helping to strengthen their financial position, and reclaim hours spent chasing late payments.”

Karl Durrance, Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Stripe said,"Australia's small businesses often struggle with cash flow and complexity of managing unpaid invoices, chasing late payments and reconciling accounts manually.Working with Zip and Xero demonstrates how technology solves important business problems — small businesses get paid faster while offering their customers more flexible payment options, opening up new possibilities for growth."
