How we celebrated IWD 2023
On the 8th March our Zipsters around the world came together to celebrate the UN delegated, International Women's Day. A day to recognise, appreciate and celebrate all the incredible women in our lives - fellow Zipsters, sisters, wives, mothers, daughters and friends.
International Womens’ Day is also an ever timely reminder that while progress has been made, we’ve collectively a long way to go towards gender equality. The theme for IWD for 2023 asks us to imagine what a gender equal future would look like, and what actions we need to take to get us there.
In line with this we asked some of our Zipsters around the globe to share their thoughts, which we’ve curated in the video below. A huge thank you to Jess, Felicia, Anna and George for taking part in this must watch viewing.
As gender equality champions here at Zip, we were also proud to launch an initiative to raise funds for UNWOMEN, a leading organisation working on gender equality and women’s empowerment. Zip will be matching every donation made by our Zipsters dollar-for-dollar, and if you’d like to donate too you can do so here.
