• 6 month fixed-term contract
• Owning Zip design for our NZ products
• Hybrid working from our Takapuna office (2 days in office per week)

As a Product Designer at Zip, you will be owning design for our NZ products, therefore liaising with a wide range of teams and stakeholders across the business, working closely with rapidly growing cross-functional teams to ship and deliver quality products for our Zip customers. 

You’ll focus on customer and merchant journeys for our New Zealand business, new product iterations and optimising our existing Pay In 4 journeys to improve key success metrics.

We’re looking for an end-to-end product designer who understands customer data (quant & qual), all the way through to visual design. You will be working in a triad with product & tech peers in an innovative and lean team, reporting to a Lead Designer.

• • A self-starter with 4+ years working in interaction & product design
  • Have a portfolio that demonstrates app & web design experiences that showcase: 
    1. Driving strong business outcomes
    2. Passion for design thinking methods and a deep understanding of design practices
    3. Attention to detail and a strong visual sensibility & interaction design
    4. Well informed design conventions and patterns
  • Good communicator who is passionate about storytelling and the ability to turn insights into thoughtful narratives utilising data. You’re accomplished at conveying complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing 
  • Experienced in managing and working with senior stakeholders - confident to share the Why behind decision making and recommendations
  • Collaborative by nature and can facilitate workshops & discussions as well as negotiating with other disciplines and advocating for high quality experiences
  • Experience in prioritisation design decisions with a triad
