About the role

As a Senior Account Manager, you will grow our largest enterprise merchant relationships, focusing on strategic account development and performance optimization. You will act as a partner to our clients, increasing their sales and expanding their market share by optimizing their checkout performance through our proprietary buy now, pay later (BNPL) technology that provides access to our unique consumer base. 

You’ll also contribute to the broader Zip growth strategy by understanding evolving merchant goals and conveying merchant insights that, ultimately, increase transaction volumes and influence product innovation. With our focus on data and innovation, you’ll have the support of cross-functional teams to help craft these compelling internal and external narratives that will make a lasting impact to both our merchants and Zip.

You’ll change the game by:

  • Developing deep relationships with key decision makers to understand their goals,  ultimately influencing decision making through solving their business issues, delivering increased sales, and increasing market share.
  • Cross selling solutions that deliver mutually beneficial value to both merchants and Zip.
  • Crafting tailored solutions for merchants and articulating product enhancements internally, ensuring our BNPL offerings meet evolving market needs.
  • Structuring marketing campaigns that increase client market share and drive new consumers to the merchant and Zip.
  • Running effective Quarterly Business Reviews to evaluate performance, share insights, and ensure alignment between merchant and Zip growth objectives.
  • Managing the renewal process for long-term contracts with key enterprise partners, focusing on securing mutually beneficial terms that promote continued growth and increased engagement with Zip’s BNPL solutions.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • At least 5 years of experience in account management, working with complex enterprise solutions in the financial services, payments, eCommerce, or technology sectors
  • A track record of managing large-scale enterprise accounts, optimizing revenue streams, and driving strategic growth through high-touch client engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong sales acumen with a proven history of successful upselling and cross-selling
  • Proven consultative sales skills with a multi-year history of exceeding performance targets
  • The ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, working across departments and influencing all organizational levels
  • Payments and eCommerce knowledge are a plus.

Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations.

The annual base Pay Range for this position is $105,000 -140,000 This range reflects our US national compensation (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on our tiered premium strategy.

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. 

If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
