Making use of our Volunteering Leave

In the spirit of giving, our Zipsters always make the most of their paid volunteer leave to give back to our communities, and to the planet. Check out our Volunteering Wrapped for 2022, featuring some of our game-changing Zipsters who Zipped It Forward.
Helping those affected by Hurricane Ian in Florida
“The hope and encouragement that I could give to the homeowners was the most fulfilling part of these volunteer days. It was hard work, but I left as a more humble and better person because of it.”
Alex Lane, Senior Software Engineer, US.
Cleaning up in Manly beach
“It was a great excuse to slow down for a few hours to do something meaningful and give back to a community and an area that has given me so much over the years.”
Sylvain Garcia, Senior Product Designer, AU.
Re-purposing food waste with OzHarvest
“I really appreciated stepping out of my day-to-day and learning so much about what's going on in the world around me. Then to participate, give back and be a part of that experience, especially with my team was quite wholesome.”
Tanushree Kumar, People Operations Specialist, AU.
Looking after Takapuna Beach in Auckland
"It was great to get out of the office, out and about together in our community, representing Zip! Cleaning up our local beach was relaxing and rewarding. We removed 18kg of unwanted soft plastic, general rubbish and other nasties from our wonderful Takapuna Beach!"
Team NZ
Thank you to all Zipsters around the world who put their Volunteering Leave to good use! Here’s to another year of Zipping it Forward in 2023.
