There are a variety of reasons why your Zip Visa Card purchase may be declined. Reasons connected to your account may include:
- Your Zip account is on-hold, deactivated, or locked. For more information refer here
 - The available balance of your Zip account is less than the purchase amount
 - If you have chosen to lock your Zip Visa Card via the App. To unlock your card, refer here
 - 
The retailer you're attempting to purchase with does not accept Visa
 
In line with our responsible lending guidelines there are also a variety of transactions that Zip may not permit, including:
- Purchases at a retailer in a restricted industry
 - Cash advance or cash withdrawals
 - Wire transfers
 - Balance transfer from another credit provider
 - Other transactions, as specified in the Zip Visa Card Terms and Conditions
