You can switch off instalments on Zip Money for any individual purchase through the Zip app.
To switch off instalments for a particular purchase:
- Go to the 'Upcoming Repayments' section of your Zip Money account and then select “Instalments”. Click into the individual purchase you'd like to switch off instalments (as shown in the example below).
- Select 'Cancel Instalment plan'.
To switch off instalments for your Zip Money account:
- Select the 'Profile' icon in the top right of the Home Screen
- Tap 'Manage Zip Money account'.
- Tap 'Change Instalment settings'.
- Tap on the 'Disable Instalments' toggle.
Switching off Zip Money instalments will cancel all existing instalments, and stop future transactions from being automatically split into equal instalments. The account balance can then be repaid at your own pace with the Flex schedule.
Please note:
If you opt out of instalments you are not able to opt back in. Also keep in mind, if the purchase isn’t fully repaid by the end of the interest-free period, interest will apply at 25.9% p.a. on the remaining balance.
Repaying only the minimum monthly repayment will generally not repay a purchase within the applicable interest-free period.
