Why is Zip rebranding?
Following 12 months of rapid expansion, Zip now operates in 11 countries, serving more than 7.3m customers and delighting over 51k merchants. And we want a brand that embodies this global presence.A unified look and purpose will mean that whenever you see the Zip brand, you’ll feel our fair and fearless spirit and our commitment to rebalancing the power in payments.
With people at the centre of everything we do, we have made, and will continue to make a big investment in brand awareness, both globally and locally to support our merchants.
When will the new brand take effect?
The new Zip brand will launch on Monday 16 August 2021 – with all brand platforms, the website, app and checkout flows updating on this day.
Before then we’ll endeavour to share with you – our merchants and partners – all the information you need to get your own websites, stores and other channels rebrand-ready.
How will the rebrand impact my business?
As a company, we’re on a significant growth trajectory and we want our merchants and partners to join us on this journey and grow with us. With our continued investment in our brand and in the awareness of Buy Now Pay Later, we’re enhancing our merchants’ and partners’ ability to leverage our brand and drive more sales.
We aren’t changing what we do and there won’t be any technical changes as part of this rebrand – your Zip account, login details and merchant portal will remain the same.
We’re simply asking that you update any Zip branding on – or soon after – August 16th. Many ecommerce platforms such as Shopify will allow us to update your website assets automatically, but we’ll be in touch in the coming weeks with details based on the specific needs of your business.
What do I need to do to be ready for the rebrand?
All Zip branded assets – the website home page, product page, basket, checkout, landing page and emails – will need to be updated with our new brand assets on – or soon after – August 16th. We’ll share access to our brand assets, fonts and brand guidelines with you in plenty of time.
As many Zip partners use Zip-hosted assets across their websites, we can automatically update them for you on launch day – but if you have any custom assets we’re happy to update these for you too.
What support will be available to help my business with the transition?
We’re here to make this update as easy as possible, and will be in touch to make sure you have everything you need to implement the rebrand, sharing all brand assets, fonts and brand guidelines with you. We’ll advise you on what needs changing, and make recommendations as to how you can improve your checkout conversion.
